To display a video, animation or anything, a monitor has to repaint its content frequently at about 60 times per second. It is known as monitor refresh rate. The standard refresh rate for a high-definition display is 60 Hz, means repaint content 60 times per second. Wow, did you know that?
Why a monitor needs to refresh its content 60 times per second and not 50, 40 or 30 times? Refreshing below 60 Hz produces flicker in picture. A higher refresh rate produces smooth picture and less motion blur. You can learn more about display terminology like Hz, HDTV, etc.

Sometimes, due to performance reasons Windows disables this feature and user can’t see updated status of copied files. In that case you can use Refresh option from context menu to clear operation till now and refresh the current status.
