Zac Efron stars in the fourth biggest box office bomb in history

WHAT a disaster.
Zac Efron’s new movie, We Are Your Friends, had a terrible opening weekend in the US.
How bad? The fourth worst in history to be exact (for releases in 2000-plus theatres across the US).
According to Box Office Mojo, the film made a dismal $2.52 million on the weekend in the US.
The only films to have recorded a worse result on their opening weekend areOogieloves In The BIG Balloon Adventure (2012), Delgo (2008) and Saw 10th Anniversary (2014).
As for the US box office winner on the weekend, Straight Outta Compton grabbed the top spot for its third week running.
The film about pioneering rap group N.W.A. took in some $18.4 million in sales, box office tracker Exhibitor Relations said.
Straight Outta Compton also beat out Sony’s debut of Christian-faith drama War Room.
The film, full of religious messages, follows a couple’s marital strife and their daughter’s decision to help out.
It took in an estimated $15.4 million in its debut weekend.
