On September 9th, 1995 something very special happened. The PlayStation was born in North America. That’s why this week there have been huge celebrations, as we said a very happy birthday to PlayStation.
To mark one of the most important developments in gaming history, they threw themselves a big old birthday party – announcing a huge sale and instructing gamers to party like it was 1995. Happy Birthday PlayStation.
Not quite as long ago, Sony launched Sketch – the app that allows you to release your creativity and use your fingertips as a paintbrush. Included as standard in Xperia smartphones, Sketch means you can draw pictures and use stickers for added fun, allowing you to show off your inner Picasso. sketch
It’s always great to find people that use apps to inspire others, which is why this week we caught up with Indian artist Ajish Ayikkarappadi. Ajish uses his Xperia M2 to create topical pictures on Sketch, as well as pictures of festivals, special occasions and the natural beauty of Kerala, India’s tropical Malabar Coast.
In fact, his new generation art is so provoking, he was picked up by press all over India. To see more of his work, you can head over to his page. We love seeing how people are using our apps so get in touch with us with your latest designs and drawings!
Moving back to current affairs, there was huge nberlinerews last week as we announced our brand new Z5 series. And what better way to show off the new camera features than to have an internationally renowned photographer zip around the streets of Berlin, snapping away?
Stepping out into the night, Zoe Noble tested out the Xperia Z5’s low-light capabilities, with some stunning results. Her #BerlinMoments photographs can be seen on her blog. You can also keep up with her work on Twitter.
That’s this week wrapped up. Have a great weekend!
